Jesse Schirmang

Jesse found her way into group fitness 12 years ago through Pure Yoga’s teacher training program. Following her certification she began taking barre classes at our city location and was hooked. 7 years ago she made it official and started teaching at our North Shore studio and in 2022 took over ownership. Jesse loves SALT’s uplifting community and values having the opportunity to positively impact client’s health and well-being.

Jennifer Joyce

Jennifer found her way into the fitness field over 23 years ago, and has never looked back.  After the births of her two kids, she hired a personal trainer, and then got inspired to get certified as Personal Trainer. She wanted to further her knowledge and expertise, and found her way to Pilates, where she taught on the reformer and mat. Ten years into her fitness journey, she found the Barre technique, and soon developed a barre program for a boutique studio in Winnetka. The Barre technique was a game changer. She has since been at the Studio in Kenilworth since the night they opened. Being in the business to help others in their fitness journey is such a joy to me. It’s such a pleasure to help others find a healthy and positive lifestyle that will be part of their lives forever. Fitness has been a huge part of my life over the last 23 plus years.  And having the opportunity to share my love of the barre technique, and inspire others to fall in love with it too, has been one of the highlight of my life.

Liz Otto

Liz first fell in love with Salt as a client 10 years ago. She then started working at the front desk at the studio and as our health coach. She wanted to take things a step further and trained to be an instructor about 4 years ago. Liz feels privileged to teach such a strong community of clients each week and strives to challenge their bodies and minds with every class.

Bailey Shea

Bailey Shea is a certified Barre Teacher, as well as a Registered Yoga and Prenatal Yoga Instructor. She initially became a client after teaching a Kids Yoga series at Salt in 2017. With the encouragement of Salt's owners, Bailey trained to teach Barre and never looked back. The amazing clients and instructors at Salt keep her motivated to always give 110% in each class that she teaches and takes. Bailey teaches all the Salt formats and loves the challenging yet extremely rewarding workouts that we offer.

Rachel Laude

Rachel has been teaching at SALT for the past five years. Her goal is to make a positive impact on your day through movement, community, and a really solid playlist. A certified personal trainer, she loves the mind-body connection that barre classes provide, and the way it is incorporated throughout each discipline offered at SALT. As a mom of three, she understands how hard it can be to find time for yourself, and will remind you that self care isn't selfish - but necessary.

Judie Sibell

Judie started her love of barre over 11 years ago. As an exercise enthusiast, she quickly discovered the benefits of the barre classes, the positivity and energy of the group setting and all of wonderful instructors at the studio. She noticed each instructor's ability to provide the education and individually guide the clients, all while making the classes incredibly fun. That made it an easy decision to pursue training! She has thoroughly enjoyed being a student and instructor for the last 10 years. Judie sees each day, each class as an opportunity to build confidence, strength and prioritizing your own health.

Amy Devore

Amy began her fitness teaching journey in 2007 while living in Colorado. She became an avid yoga student and soon after received her Yoga Teaching Certification. She taught power yoga and vinyasa yoga while living out West, and continued these teachings when she moved back to her native area of the North Shore in 2012. Amy quickly fell in love with the classes at SALT and expanded her teaching to include barre. Amy loves the community at SALT above all, and feels her best when regularly taking SALT classes.

Lauer Baby

Lauer's love of fitness started at a young age when she was a nationally- ranked figure skater. After decades of high-impact sports, her body needed something more balanced, and in 2016 Lauer found SALT. She was immediately drawn to all that it had to offer, and how it served both the mind and body. Two years later she became an instructor in many of SALT's disciplines. She loves the variety SALT offers, and the highly connected community. There's a wonderful energy and spirit to SALT that makes you feel like you're home.

Kathleen McCoy

Kathleen discovered her love of teaching fitness during graduate school, where she used teaching dance and group fitness as a means of coping with stress. Kathleen began teaching barre classes in 2015 and hasn't turned back since! Kathleen's true passion lies in helping others feel strong, positive, and excited to work out - but, most importantly, to feel good about themselves inside and out.
